A bit of writing, knitting, crochet, darning and recycling - always seeking inspiration Publisher @quickthornbooks Trustee @heritagecrafts

I haven’t done any embroidery that wasn’t darn I haven’t done any embroidery that wasn’t darning for a while, so it was fun to get stuck in to this. Nikki at The Fold asked volunteers to stitch a square dedicated to one of the many countries who have contributed to The Red Dress project. I had the Czech Republic and hope I’ve done it justice. Squares will be sewn together in homage to the dress, which is coming to Stroud on 6 November @quickthornbooks @thefoldstroud

I’ve been inspired by Hikaru Noguchi’s latest I’ve been inspired by Hikaru Noguchi’s latest book Darning Socks. The heels on both socks have worn out down to the synthetic threads.  A little tambourine stitch and parallel herringbone did the trick. These old socks are favourites so I’m pleased to have them back in action, à bientot /toe
